About this role

<p style="margin: 0">Perform law enforcement, investigations and crime prevention work; control traffic flow and enforce State and local traffic regulations; perform investigative work and other special assignments and perform a variety of technical and administrative tasks in support of the Police Department. </p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0">All applicants for the police officer classification must be not less than twenty years of age, and reaching the age of twenty-one years by the completion of the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center within one year from date of hire as required by Nebraska Revised Statute §81-1410. An applicant for a position of any kind under civil service shall be able to read and write the English language as provided in Nebraska Revised Statute §19-1831, as revised.</p>
