Built For The Badge ("we," "us," or "our") is a fitness and career readiness platform built specifically for women pursuing careers in firefighting, law enforcement, military, and emergency medical services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our platform at built4thebadge.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: Name, email address, and password when you create an account.
• Profile information: Career path selection, fitness goals, and preferences you provide.
• Fitness and training data: Workout logs, strength profile (1-rep maxes), recovery check-ins, readiness scores, and program progress.
• Assessment data: Responses to the career readiness assessment and resulting scores.
• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, session duration, and interactions with the platform.
• Payment information: Processed securely through Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.
• Communications: Messages you send us via email or feedback tools.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Providing, maintaining, and improving the platform
• Generating personalized training recommendations and readiness scores
• Processing payments and managing subscriptions
• Sending transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, subscription updates)
• Sending product updates and marketing communications (you may opt out at any time)
• Analyzing aggregate usage patterns to improve features
• Complying with legal obligations

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with trusted service providers necessary to operate the platform:

• Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure
• Stripe — payment processing
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Vercel — hosting and infrastructure

Each provider is contractually required to protect your data and use it only to perform services on our behalf. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure with industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit (TLS). Authentication uses Supabase Auth with secure session management. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant. While we implement reasonable security measures, no system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Usage analytics, if employed, are anonymized and privacy-respecting.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of marketing communications at any time
• Export your data in a portable format

8. Children's Privacy

Built For The Badge is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
