<div style="color: inherit;font-style: normal;text-indent: 0.0px;text-align: justify;"><strong>T</strong><strong>he City of Richmond Police Department is accepting applications for Police Officer - Retiree.</strong></div><div style="color: inherit;font-style: normal;text-indent: 0.0px;text-align: justify;"><br></div><strong><u>REQUIREMENTS (FULL TIME PERMANENT SWORN POSITION)</u></strong><ol style="list-style-type: decimal;"><li>Must have retired from RPD <li>Retirement must have been in the last 5 years or still hold a current DCJS certification<li>If still employed with RPD, must complete the DROP program before eligible<li>Must be separated from the department for at least one pay cycle</ol><strong><u>ASSIGNMENTS </u></strong><br>If returning in a full time role you will be assigned in a patrol capacity within the Department.<br><br><strong><u>BENEFITS</u></strong><ol style="list-style-type: decimal;"><li>You will come in at the step based on when you left. <strong><u>TRAINING REQUIREMENTS</u></strong><ol style="list-style-type: decimal;"><li>Rehired employees will complete Reentry or a modified Basic Training Class with the Training Academy prior to assignment. <li>Certified Officers will complete 8 weeks of Field Training. Subsequent to successful completion, the officer will be required to maintain all applicable RPD and DCJS mandated training and certifications.</ol>
