About this role

GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Operating both basic and specialized firefighting tools, including ladders, power tools, and nozzles, while applying fire control strategies in hazardous conditions; knowledge of emergency medical procedures, such as patient assessment, CPR, and noninvasive treatments, and preparing individuals for transport to medical facilities; maintaining and inspecting firefighting equipment, performing search and rescue operations, and managing hazardous material releases. The following certification levels are the minimum qualification standard for the position. Individuals must be certified at these levels before being eligible to fill the grade and/or position.
