Sheriff's Office - Non-certified Posse

About This Role

The Adams County Sheriff's Office is seeking candidates who are interested in volunteering for the Posse auxiliary as a commissioned non-certified volunteer. The Posse volunteers will provide mounted equestrian assistance to the Sheriff's Office. They will represent the agency in community functions such as parades and special events. There will be opportunities for the Posse volunteers to assist in securing livestock for safety reasons and owner notification.

Requirements

To be considered for the Posse position, candidates must:<br><div style="margin: 0"><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt; margin-left: -0.25in"><li style="margin: 0">Must be 18 years of age minimum.</li><li style="margin: 0">Possess a high school diploma or GED.</li><li style="margin: 0">Possess a valid Colorado driver's license.</li><li style="margin: 0">Have at least 20/40 corrected vision.</li><li style="margin: 0">Be able to demonstrate equestrian proficiency at Grade Level I or II.</li><li style="margin: 0">Possess a horse and transportation for the horst to report to events.</li></ul></div>
