<p><strong>***OFFICER SIGNING AGREEMENT INCENTIVE*** </strong>$10,000 hiring bonus for valid TCOLE certification prior to hiring. $4,000 for each completed year of state licensing agency, certified regular full-time, paid peace officer time, to a maximum of five (5) years for a total of up to $20,000. Requirements
<p><strong>Knowledge:</strong> Knowledge of modern police practices and methods; knowledge of controlling laws and ordinances, particularly the laws of arrest and evidence; some knowledge of the geography of the city; some knowledge of the rules and regulations of the Police Department; some knowledge of first aid principles.</p><strong>Skills/Abilities:</strong> Ability to deal firmly and courteously with other Police Officers and the public; ability to analyze situations quickly and objectively and to determine proper course of action to be taken; ability to obtain information through interview and interrogation; ability to speak and write the English language effectively; ability to perform mathematical computations; ability to operate a portable and mobile radio; skill in o
