About this role

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: (OPM Operating Manual, Qualification Standards Minimum Qualifications for GS-11: One year experience at the GS-09 grade level or equivalent. Experience at this level may include planning, organizing and directing the work of subordinate personnel in a corrections/detention facility; and evaluating corrections/detention program operations and management, in accordance with standards, policies, and procedures. OR Education: 3 full academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education or a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or a L.L.M. in correctional administration, criminology, psychology, social work, sociology, or other fields related to the position OR Combination of specialized experience and education that totals 100% of the experience requirement. MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS: The duties of this position require moderate to arduous physical exertion involving walking and standing, and exposure to inclement weather. Manual dexterity with comparatively free motion of finger, wrist, elbow, shoulder, hip, and knee joints is required.
