EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: (OPM Operating Manual, Qualification Standards - Criminal Investigation Series 1811 Individual Occupational Requirements and Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Administrative and Management Positions) In addition to the experience at lower grade levels, to qualify at the GS-12 grade level, you must have one (1) year specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level carrying out the full range of criminal investigations of greater than average complexity and importance using accepted methodology and problem-solving techniques; and serve as a lead agent in planning and conducting investigations, operations, searches, seizures, and or arrests; collect and secure evidence, conduct surveillance for extended periods of time to obtain evidence and establish probable cause; and independently writing investigative reports.
