<p><em><strong>**Please note that this job posting is for experienced police officers. Requirements have been slightly revised. The job posting for entry-level officers is called Police Officer 2026.**</strong></em><br><br>The Idaho Falls Police Department is accepting applications and resumes for lateral entry of experienced Police Officers into the department.<br><br>The testing process will be as follows:</p><p>1. Your application and resume are reviewed to ensure that you meet the minimum qualifications established by the State of Idaho and Idaho Falls Police Department</p><p>2. If you meet the requirements established by the Police Department, you will be invited to participate in an oral board interview and physical fitness test. </p><p>3. <strong>1. Education and Experience: </strong> A. Graduation from high school or GED and current certification as a Police Officer; AND B. Two (2) years of experience as a police officer (which may include 1 year as a Probationary Officer).<br><br><strong>2. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</strong><br>Considerable Knowledge of modern law enforcement principles, procedures, techniques and equipment; applicable Federal, State, County, and City laws and ordinances and departmental rules and regulations; NCIC, UCR/IBR codes and there proper application; methods of arrest; legal liabilities associated with arrest and law enforcement; practices and procedures for emergency vehicle operation; specialized equipment such as that needed to document field sobriety tests, radar, rad
