About this role
<p><strong>GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES</strong><br>Responsible for the inspection, stocking, fueling, and cleaning of Emergency Services vehicles and delivery of materials to EMS supply points. This position requires that the employee must have a proficient understanding of the materials and equipment used in our department. <br><br><strong>DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS</strong><br>They EMS Logistics Technician must check and resupply each EMS unit with materials and equipment as required. The employee is also responsible for cleaning the unit, checking all operational light and driving systems and ensuring that it has passed all required operational checks. The position will often be expected to carry out assignments without direct supervision. Must be able to use governing policies and regulations and general guidelines to guide decisions and actions.</p>
Requirements
<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong><br>High school graduation or equivalent, and one year of experience related to logistics, warehouse supply, or inventory management services.<br><br><strong><u>Special Requirements</u></strong></p><ul> <li>Must obtain forklift operator license within 12 months of hire. </li><li>Must obtain Class B vehicle operator’s license within 12 months of hire. </li><li>Must obtain ICS 100 & 700 within 3 months of hire. </li><li>Successfully complete EVD or county approved driving course within 6 months of hire. </li><li>AHA Heartsaver BLS/CPR Certification within 12 months of hire. </li><li>HazMat Awareness or county approved equivalent within 12 months of hire. </li></ul>
