About this role
To investigate and enforce appropriate codes, laws, and regulations related to inoperative, abandoned, and hazardous vehicles.<br><br><b>SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED</b><br><br>Supervision is provided by the Senior Code Enforcement Officer or higher-level management personnel. Indirect supervision may be provided by a Code Enforcement Officer.
Requirements
<strong>Knowledge of: </strong><br><br><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt;"><li>City street and address system.<br> </li><li>Basic skills in public contact.<br> </li><li>Basic law enforcement concepts.</li></ul><br><br><strong>Ability to: </strong><br><br><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt;"><li>Learn, understand, interpret and enforce appropriate City and State parking and vehicle codes, laws, and regulations.<br> </li><li>Learn technical aspects of the job, and understand subjects covered in self defense courses, training in search and seizure, and traffic safety as it relates to enforcement and control.<br> </li><li>Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and other enforcement personnel.<br> </li><li>Maintain routine records, case
