The City of Richmond is currently accepting applications for the position of Police Cadet. <span style="color: inherit;font-style: normal;text-indent: 0.0px;">The goals of the Police Cadet program are to expose men and women to the various aspects of police work in order to prepare them for a career in law enforcement. </span>Police Cadets will promote the community's opportunity to enjoy a safe and positive environment. <div style="color: inherit;font-style: normal;text-indent: 0.0px;">Police Cadets are required to wear uniforms, do not carry firearms, and will <strong><u>not</u></strong> have sworn Police Officer status. They will be required to work outdoors in all weather conditions and will be required to work shifts, weekends and holidays. Requirements
