About this role

<p>This position is responsible for conducting investigations for the Muscogee County Prison.</p><ul><li> Responsible for conducting investigations as directed by the Warden of the facility. </li><li>Responds to and processes crime scenes. </li><li>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual Investigative Reports. </li><li>This position is responsible for conducting internal and external criminal investigations. </li><li>Conducts criminal investigations of incidents within the Muscogee County Prison.</li><li> Investigates a variety of incidents, including assaults, contraband discovery, possession of contraband, violation of oath, etc. </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned by the Warden.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Primary Duties and Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><ul><li> The Investigator will coordinate with state and local law enforcement agencies concerning any inappropriate acts or activities by staff members, officers, contract personnel, and civilians committed on prison grounds or involving an offender assigned to Muscogee County Prison.</li><li>Oversee contraband investigations, investigate intelligence, review videos, phone calls, and video visits as needed.</li><li

Requirements

<p>Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of specialized training in the occupational field, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education. Ten (10) years’ experience in correctional, jail and/or detention settings, which may be substituted by experience in a Criminal Justice-related field. Investigative certifications and background preferred. Must have/or be able to complete an approved investigative training program resulting in a certificate of satisfactory completion. Must hold or have the ability to obtain POST certification. Working knowledge of all applicable court orders. Working knowledge of CCG and DOC policies and procedures and applicable state and federal laws. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in
