Firefighter/ EMT-Engineer

About this role

The Fire Engineer performs a variety of advanced level fire-fighting duties, including fire engine pump operations. Must be able to safely drive and operate all types of fire apparatus. Performs as a Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician responding to emergencies as required.

Requirements

<ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Must be an EMT-Basic licensed by the State of New Mexico. </li><li>IFSAC Firefighter II or equivalent; completion of training provided by the department in Emergency vehicles, Operations, Coaching the Emergency Vehicle Operator, Incident Command, and Pump Operations or equivalent as determined by the Fire Chief.</li><li>ICS 100, 200, 700, 800</li><li>Minimum three (3) years of continuous service with Santa Fe County Fire Department in a paid firefighting position.</li><li>IFSAC Driver/Operator Certification; and IFSAC Pump Operations and Hydraulics Certification.</li><li>Must have completed the SFCFD Engineer Task Book.</li></ul>
