Manages activities aimed at fire suppression, protection, prevention, rescue services, hazardous materials incidents and first responder within the City.<br><br><strong><u>Department</u></strong>: Public Safety, Bureau of Fire<br><strong><u>Salary</u></strong>: $92,995 per year.<br><strong><u>Civil Service Classification</u></strong>: Competitive<br><u data-pasted="true"><strong>Union</strong></u><strong>:</strong> IAFF<br><strong><u>Notice</u></strong>: In accordance with Section 3.1(a) of the Fire Civil Service Statute, the appointing officer may pass over the person on the top of the Competitive List for just cause in writing. &nbsp;Any person so passed over shall, upon written request, be granted a public hearing before the Civil Service Commission.
