Manages activities aimed at fire suppression, protection, prevention, rescue services, hazardous materials incidents and first responder within the City.<br><br><strong><u>Department</u></strong>: Public Safety, Bureau of Fire<br><strong><u>Salary</u></strong>: $92,995 per year.<br><strong><u>Civil Service Classification</u></strong>: Competitive<br><u data-pasted="true"><strong>Union</strong></u><strong>:</strong> IAFF<br><strong><u>Notice</u></strong>: In accordance with Section 3.1(a) of the Fire Civil Service Statute, the appointing officer may pass over the person on the top of the Competitive List for just cause in writing. Any person so passed over shall, upon written request, be granted a public hearing before the Civil Service Commission.

You must pass the written examination in order to have your name placed on the official Civil Service eligibility list for this position. <ul><li><strong><u>Written</u></strong>: Based on the knowledge/abilities listed in the Position Description section of this announcement.
