Requirements
<ul><li>Must be 21 years of age by graduation from the academy.</li><li>Must have a valid driver's license and obtain a New Mexico (Class D) driver's license within 30 days of your date of hire.</li><li>Must be a United States citizen or has been authorized to work by the United States citizenship and immigration services and has reached the age of majority in accordance to Section 29-7-6 NMSA 1978.</li><li>Must have a high school diploma or GED. </li><li>Must pass the Police Entry-Level Written Examination and other required examinations and assessments.</li><li>No felony convictions. Criminal activity in which applicant has been convicted of, pled guilty to, or entered a plea of nolo contendere to any felony charge, been involved in any prosecution diversion program (PPP) as adjudicated
