<u><strong>Education</strong></u><br>Completion of the equivalent of 60 college semester units.<br><br><strong><u>Police Service Standards</u></strong>- To be a candidate for a position in this class, the applicant must fulfill all of the following:<ul><li><strong>Minimum Age: </strong>The candidate shall be at least 21 years of age at the time of Lateral Entry or Academy Graduate appointment.<li><strong>Character & Background:</strong> The candidate shall possess traits including initiative, alertness, integrity, reliability, courtesy, and good judgment; and shall not have been convicted by any state or by the Federal Government for a crime, the punishment for which could have been imprisonment in a federal penitentiary or a state prison.<li><strong>Hearing:</strong> The candidat
