Requirements

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:<br><br><u>Experience</u>:<div><div>Six years of increasingly responsible experience as a fire code official in a governmental environment. One year of administrative and supervisory responsibility is preferred.</div></div><br><u>Training</u><strong>:</strong>&nbsp;<br>Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade, supplemented by specialized training in code enforcement, construction technology, or a related field.
