About This Role

The Part-Time Court Security Deputy is a specialized position within the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office. Responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the Court Complex by supervising inmates, supporting court operations, managing courthouse access points, and delivering exemplary public service to staff, elected officials, Judges, attorneys, and visitors.

Requirements

<br>Knowledge and Skills:<br>• Knowledge of Wyoming State statutes, criminal codes, and correctional procedures.<br>• Knowledge of court operations, legal documentation, and inmate transport protocols.<br>• Knowledge of use-of-force policies, emergency procedures, courtroom security methods.<br>• Knowledge of screening equipment and courtroom technology platforms.<br>• Ability to de-escalate conflict, write reports and maintain situational awareness.<br>• Ability to interact with all individuals with professionalism, discretion, and integrity.<br>• Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain composed in high-pressure situations.<br>• Ability to maintain professional demeanor, sound judgment, situational awareness, and the ability to act decisively in both routine and emergent circumst
