<strong>NOTE: A $10,000 signing bonus will be awarded to successful candidates. • $1,000 will be payable upon hire. • $4,000 will be payable upon the successful completion of one (1) year of service as an Anne Arundel Deputy Sheriff. • $5,000 will be payable upon the successful completion of two (2) years of service as an Anne Arundel County Deputy Sheriff. • The Entry Deputy Sheriff is required to work twelve (12) full months after receipt of the final bonus payment. If an Entry Deputy Sheriff leaves within those twelve (12) months, they will have to repay a prorated portion of the sign on bonus. </strong><br><br>This is a recruitment for Deputy Sheriff I, Lateral Entry. Applicants must be sworn Law Enforcement Officers who are currently or previously certified in the State of Maryland (MPCTC Certified). The position is a full-time, permanent and safety sensitive. It is within the Sheriff's Office. Candidates must be currently Certified Maryland Police Officers by the Maryland Police Correctional Training Commission (MPCTC) and have at least one (1) year of law enforcement experience (Must be separated in good standing from a full service law enforcement agency for two (2) years o

Requirements

Graduation from high school; two (2) or more years of general work experience; a minimum age of 21 at the time of appointment; and a valid non-commercial Class C motor vehicle operator's license.&nbsp;<br><br>NOTE: This is a Safety Sensitive position and employees in this position are subject to Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) and Alcohol testing.
