About This Role
This position performs a variety of criminal investigation activities from basic to complex - and supervises criminal investigators in their performance of the same - in support of the statutory requirements of the Office of the District Attorney. Must have necessary experience to act as proxy for Chief Investigator (see Chief Investigator job description for explanation of duties/responsibilities).<br><br>This position is distinguished from the lower level Criminal Investigator by the supervisory and Chief Investigator proxy responsibilities, assignment of complex and highly sensitive investigations with minimal to no supervision, as well as the assignment and monitoring of Criminal Investigator caseloads.
Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice or a closely related field, with a preference for candidates holding advanced degrees in a related field.</li><li>Candidates should have extensive experience in criminal investigations, requiring at least five (5) years of experience at the Criminal Investigator level or related equivalent experience.</li><li>Supervisory experience preferred.</li><li>A combination of experience and education may be considered. </li></ul>CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS:<ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt;"><li>Colorado P.O.S.T. certification (including completion of the required physical and psychological testing, and all other P.O.S.T. requirements).</li><li>Must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License upon hire, with
