<u><strong>Recruitment Number 26-0183</strong></u><br><br>This recruitment is being conducted to fill vacancies with the State of Hawaii Department of Transportation, Airports Division. <u><strong>Physical Ability Tests (PAT) will be administered only on the Island of Oahu.</strong></u><strong> The PAT has not been scheduled. We will be holding two (2) PAT. One PAT will be administered on October or November 2026 and the 2nd PAT will be administered on February or March 2027. You will be invited to only one (1) PAT. </strong><br><br>These vacancies require rotating shift work, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Airport Firefighter Recruit II may have to attend training for approximately 26 weeks or up to one (1) year. Requirements
<strong><span style="color: rgb(38, 122, 144);">To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements</span>:</strong><br><br><p style="margin:0in;" id="isPasted">The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.</p><br><strong>Basic Education:</strong><br>Graduation from high school or GED certificate.<br><br><strong>Substitution Allowed:</strong><br>One (1) year of work experience which demonstrates that the applicant is able to read and comprehend written material, follow oral and written instructions, and prepare written material may be substituted for graduation from high school
