About this role

Under the general supervision of Sergeants, Lieutenants, Commanders and the Police Chief, this position provides police protection and law enforcement services within the City. &nbsp;Within this classification of Police Officer an employee may serve in any of the following positions: SRO, K-9 Officer, Field Training Officer, Detective, Training and Recruitment Coordinator, Neighborhood Watch Coordinator, Traffic Safety Coordinator and any other special position designated by the Chief of Police. &nbsp;After successfully completing seven years of continuous service each member shall assume the rank of Corporal.<br><br><strong>Union Affiliation:</strong> Burlington Police Officers Association (BPOA)<br><strong>Pay Grade:&nbsp;</strong>$39.26 - $45.95 Hourly<br><strong>Remote Tier 1:&nbsp;</strong>Zero (0) days remote/week<br><br style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-align: left; text-indent: 0px;" data-pasted="true"><strong style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-align: left; text-indent: 0px;">NOTE:&nbsp;</strong><em style="color: inherit; text-align: left; text-indent: 0px;">A signed waiver form is a required document in the application process.
