EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: (OPM Operating Manual, Qualification Standards ). GS-12: To qualify at the GS-12 level you must have one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GL-11 grade level: serving as a sworn law enforcement officer for a federal, state, county, local, or tribal law enforcement department; identifying training program needs and developing/revising training materials, student/instructor evaluations, class coordination, and curriculum reviews. Provides day-to-day general administrative oversight of the Law Enforcement Instructor team. FIREARMS REQUIREMENT: This position requires that the incumbent meet initial and continuing qualifications in the use of firearms as outlined in the Gun Control Act of 1968, amended by the Lautenberg Amendment of 1996.
