<div>This is an&nbsp;<strong>hourly position, limited to working approximately 19 hours per week or 1000 hours annually, whichever comes first. &nbsp;This position is non-benefited and is designated as a non-classified, at-will position. &nbsp;</strong><br><br>The Police Reserve Officer is responsible to perform general law enforcement duties, which include street patrol, conducting preliminary police investigations, report writing, collision investigations, traffic control, issuance of citations, and other basic law enforcement functions.<br><br>The Modesto Police Department's Reserve Officer Unit is comprised of highly motivated and skilled professionals dedicated to serving the citizens of Modesto. &nbsp;Although our reserve officers are highly skilled and hourly city employees, they are not required to work a set schedule. &nbsp;Reserve Officers generate their own work schedules providing police services for our city, working thousands of hours each year. &nbsp;The City of Modesto also saves thousands of dollars in public emergency services funds each year from the contributions of time, dedication, and talent of our Reserve Officers.<br><br>The citizens and businesses in Modes
