Requirements

<p data-pasted="true"><strong>Eligibility (Lateral Entry)</strong></p><p>Applicants may be considered for appointment through the lateral-entry process, <strong>without participating in a competitive civil service examination</strong>, if they meet <u><strong>all&nbsp;</strong></u>of the following criteria:</p><ol start="1" type="1" style="margin-bottom: 3pt;"><li>Are currently employed as a <strong>Firefighter/Paramedic</strong> by a Fire/EMS agency, or have been employed and compensated in that role within the past <strong>ninety (90) days</strong>&nbsp;</li><li>Hold current <strong>State of Ohio Firefighter II and Paramedic certifications</strong>&nbsp;</li><li>Possess at least <strong>one (1) year of paid experience</strong> as a Firefighter II/Paramedic, whether with their current age
