About this role

Conditions of Employment continued This position works 144-hour bi-weekly tour of duty and subject to rotating assignments between all fire stations to meet staffing requirements in support of the mission. Subject to recall and is inclement weather position. The incumbent will be required to wear uniform, use personnel protective equipment and self-contained breathing apparatus. This position requires the employee to work under adverse environmental conditions and falls under the respiratory protection program and hearing conservation program. The work requires the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate valid driver's license is required and position requires the ability to discern colors, contrast, and depth. This position is designated as a key position IAW AFI 36-507. Duties of this position are essential to the accomplishment of wartime/contingency operations. Incumbents of key positions must be removed from their military recall status if alternatives for filling of the position during an emergency are not available.
